Landscape Project

Concept:

With this project I decided that I would want to make it like a walk through the forest and I photograph what I see. Almost like a visual story. That is why I have so many final shots and a lot of them are not technically landscapes. I used HDR and bracketing for almost every picture and then edited it all in lightroom. I used photoshop to combine the bracketed photos.

Execution:

All these photos are in the same area. I took them while I was walking on a path and it documented my journey. I almost feel like all together the photos have mystery and wonder. Almost like I am taking a walk in an old lost civilization. The meaning behind why I took photos here was because this is all along a pathway behind my house and I walk it often to just relax and bring myself back to reality. It helps me destress to then do what I need to do. I was very glad I decided to do my project here because I got to spend a nice amount of time outside and calm myself after the many stressful things thing that have happened recently.

Reflection:

I don't know if I really completed the project correctly but I really had fun and am happy with a lot of shots. I took so many more that aren't even in the google photo album but I think they are for another time. I also learned how much I love black and white. It tells a lot even without color. I do with though I didn't take so long to do this assignment because now all the leaves are off the tress and my shots would have been so cool in color, but I do really like the black and white. I also very much stressed about this project because I have no place that really has meaning to me that I can shoot at, but I definitely worried too much about that and should have just gone out and shot photos. Also with bracketing I do like it because it gives you different ways to view the same picture, but I HDR wasn't it for these photos. I think it was just because there was very little color at the point I shot the photos and it was very overcast so I couldn't use a lot of the HDR quality. I will try it in the future if I want to capture nice colors or the sky.
