Portraits Final

 Concept:

With this assignment we are meant to make someone look glamorous and mature for their portraits. With senior photos you want to really showcase the person and who they are, but in an exaggerated sort of way. That is why most photos are meant to be happy and smiling, but obviously we know people aren't actually like that all the time.

Execution:

My Portrait photos

Felicity Taylor I wouldn't say would fit the bubbly happy type of senior photos. She is a happy person but more of a quiet somber happiness rather than an in your face giggly happy type of person. She is very focused and realistic person and is very grounded. She knows her limits and how to deal with adversity. She is very strong and I wanted to capture this. Her independence and individuality I think shows in her face and body language within these photos.

Reflection:

I definitely would have liked to take more time taking the photos and designing outfits, but I am not disappointed with the outcome. I had 30 minutes to take these photos, because this was the only time in the schedule of daylight hours I had someone to work with, but I think some of the photos really turned out good. Some not so much but I am proud that I got some good ones in such a short amount of time. I have learned that you don't need to be perfect to have a decent outcome. If I could redo this project I would like to find a model with time before-hand and set a date and make sure both of our schedules are free on that day for optimal time to manage a photo-shoot.
