Landscape Project

Image
Concept: With this project I decided that I would want to make it like a walk through the forest and I photograph what I see. Almost like a visual story. That is why I have so many final shots and a lot of them are not technically landscapes. I used HDR and bracketing for almost every picture and then edited it all in lightroom. I used photoshop to combine the bracketed photos. Execution: Google Album All these photos are in the same area. I took them while I was walking on a path and it documented my journey. I almost feel like all together the photos have mystery and wonder. Almost like I am taking a walk in an old lost civilization. The meaning behind why I took photos here was because this is all along a pathway behind my house and I walk it often to just relax and bring myself back to reality. It helps me destress to then do what I need to do. I was very glad I decided to do my project here because I got to spend a nice amount of time outside and calm myself after the many stressf...

Portraits Final

Image
Concept: With this assignment we are meant to make someone look glamorous and mature for their portraits. With senior photos you want to really showcase the person and who they are, but in an exaggerated sort of way. That is why most photos are meant to be happy and smiling, but obviously we know people aren't actually like that all the time. Execution: My Portrait photos     Felicity Taylor I wouldn't say would fit the bubbly happy type of senior photos. She is a happy person but more of a quiet somber happiness rather than an in your face giggly happy type of person. She is very focused and realistic person and is very grounded. She knows her limits and how to deal with adversity. She is very strong and I wanted to capture this. Her independence and individuality I think shows in her face and body language within these photos. Reflection: I definitely would have liked to take more time taking the photos and designing outfits, but I am not disappointed with th...

Equipment Camera Settings: Aperture- between f/11 and f/16 Shutter Speed- shutter speed between 1/10th of a second and three seconds ISO- 100-200 Focal Length: Long lens of 70-200mm, which is often described as the best telephoto lens for landscape photography. This will cover your distance needs well when shooting mountains and even wildlife. Bracketing: In photography, bracketing is the general technique of taking several shots of the same subject using different camera settings. You then combine them to get a better picture. Composition Composition is how the elements in a photo are arranged One of the most important or useful guidelines is the  rule of thirds Layering: Reflections: Framing: Tight Framing: Curves: Symmetry: Asymmetry: Simplicity: Leading Lines: Patterns: Lighting The best lighting is the sun Golden hour is the best time of day to shoot because the sun is low and the shadows are nice as well as the nice orange sun glow. Although it definitely it depends on...

Humans Of CV

Concept: When I was looking through Brandon Stanton's work I noticed how he always tried to accentuate the subject's features or, do a full body shot of the subject or subjects. Because I am only one person, I decided to take more up close pictures, especially because with the photos I take I am trying to tell a story. I knew I wanted to try to tell more of a story with my eyes and expression softly, rather than something more dramatic. Execution:   Album What is the happiest moment of your life? The happiest moment of Miranda Huber's life was on December 7th, 2018. "That day the advanced art students went on a field trip. I was allowed to go because I was also in an art class and they had extra seats on the bus. So, me and a couple other classmates in my animation class were put in a group." Miranda took her first trip to New York and was very excited about experiencing something new. "I was such a tourist. I was staring up at the great buildings above and o...
